Talon Crescent War - Friends HItting Friends With Sticks!

PARKING FEE UPDATE:  We've made arrangements with the city and have been able to offer a 50% discount in parking fees for the weekend.  Please let the people at the park gate know you are going to the Talon Crescent event.  When you come to gate/troll to pay for site, parking passes will be available for only $6 for both days. Please make sure to keep it in your windshield for Saturday and Sunday as this is how the park rangers will know you have already paid for parking.

Lunch- there will be donation lunches available both Saturday and Sunday. Suggested donation $5  Soda and Water will also be available for $1 each

  Saturday - choice of hamburger or hot dog, chips, fruit, and cookie           Sunday - sandwhich, chips, fruit, cookie

Site Fee Update:  We've made a slight adjustment for youth under 14 and families.  Youth under 14 are $10 and there is a family cap of $50.

Meet a Medieval Warhorse!
 
Come out on Saturday at 3:00 to meet a horse used in SCA Equestrian competitions.  We will be talking about the basic care of a horse, letting folks get some hands on time with Reynaud (the horse) and doing a demonstration of one of the games that medieval knights used when training for combat.  The class is aimed at our youth, but horse lovers of all ages are welcome.  We might even have time to let folks have a chance to try one of the games for themselves!  If you have a child who wants to participate, please bring an equestrian or bike helmet with them to the class.  Children MUST be accompanied by a parent.
